Lying in my bed…

Shaking   really hard.

Thinking what could happen.

Going more pale each time the sound went.

I hear the sound shrieking in my ear.

my Nightmare Night

I freezed in fear

my heart beated faster and faster

my eyes started to water

 

my body was warming up

my mind went blank in a big fat blur

My Scary Moment!

I was petrified to scared to jump off. The diving board was in a very high place. My heart was beating 100 miles per hour,well I had to do it,but people were saying"Hurry up you chicken!" And I said just"Just wait!"There I go jumped of the diving board. I closed my eyes like a locked door. While I was in mid air I thought to myself"I really did it!!" "Yay!!"Then I felt the water travelling up my legs."Yay I did it!! Then I felt cold really cold like an iceberg!! The water was frezzing flippin frezzing!! Brrrrrrrr!!! I swam like Michael Phillips to the ladder,climbed up the ladder and I thought to myself Yay!! I did it!

• MY SCARY STORY

   

I put my skies on and headed to the door a gush of wind came straight through the door like a group of singing tornadoes. I breathed out a cloud came out of my mouth but no rain.As the snow hits from my brothers hand to me,it crumbles away to space.I could hear the cold air brushing down my face a waterfall falling into the snow, as the snow crumbles away like shortbread mealting in your mouth. As me and my instrutor were on the chair lift i thought to my self ''how can I get off, can I get of'' my body froze as stiff as a concret wall.We hopped off I looked down I could see another skie place my nearves streached as they were trying to save my fall. I headed down hill I can do this I thought right in frunt of me I saw a hole in the ground ''can I past it''.
''bam'' I fall into soe rocks.
I was terrafied the whole way down but I made it in the end.
    

Salt

I could feel the fear running down my spine… I could hear the river swaying, the trees crying and the wind hustling through the tree tops. My hands were shaking with horror, my arm pits were sweating. Everything was silent now.” I can’t do this” “but I have to do this” “come on Bryn pull yourself together. I could see the brown misty water balow me. I was shaking as I held the bars, I could taste the salty air as I jumped off the bridge. 

The Vege Car

The veggie car is a special type off car that is ran on vegetable oil. It is made by a totally normal family and you do not have to pay for fuel at all!!!! The family did a trip in it from Bluff at the bottom of the south island to Cape Reinga at the top of the north island!! What an achievement. Mr Mcdonald [the owner off the car] got the vegetable oil from takeaway shops in Palmerston north. Mr Macdonald built the veggie car 1 to protest against the wars in Iraq. And 2 to save money!!!!The pair reached Cape reinga in twelve days!!!!

What Kereru Eat?

They eat fruit,twigs,leaves,buds and shoots of many plants.
Because they eat so much sometimes they fall out of trees.Thats one of the reasons they were hunted for thier meat.
 
Kererus roles are

One of their most important roles is spreading native seeds in the bush so trees like Miro,Kahikatea,Nikau,Karaka,Puriri so they can still be found in native bush areas.

How do they raise their chicks

Kereru are adults from 1 or 2 and can live for ten to twenty years.They take a month to hatch.The newborn feed on the adults milk older ones feed on fruit that has been chewed by their parents.

halloween Fright

As I opened the door to the halloween fright. people were dressed in scary cotumes, for some reason I
didn't feel scared. I looked up and saw a cave it looked freaky and unusual.

there was a massive truck beside the cave that had flames out the doors and zombies sticking out the mirrors. I saw a crowd of people outside playing with the ponys or on the trampeline or going in that threatenig cave. We went in the slide opening door there was a curtain, I thought that was quite unusual as well it was getting more freakier every minute. Now I was more freaked out because now I began to get in the excited mood I didn't know how I would cope with going in that cave.

The new zealand native kereru

We have been learning about kereru a New Zealand native bird.
We are writing to tell you a little about them!!!

THROUGHOUT THEIR LIFE.

In the past kereru were killed by pakeha and maori.They have valuable meat and feathers.They were introduced by maori and pakeha came along and killed them for meat. The pakeha brang stoats, rats and cats that were predators of the kereru. Kereru become adults around 2yrs old and live around 10 to 20 years. They build their nests around late spring to summer (november to march).

WHAT AND WHERE THEY LIVE AND EAT.

They eat berries off the ground or in the trees, leaves twigs and shoots or other plants. They are found in low land native forests throughout the north and sout island.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE DOING TO HELP.

They have kept cats, stoats and rats away from their habitats and other native birds. Children at diamond harbour school have started a project to help the kereru. They are important to save beacause people around the world come to see them and other native birds. Also it spreads seeds of native trees.
                                     




































                                                       

My scary moment

As we creeped higher everything fell silent.My heart skipped a beat with dread.I could see dark skyscrapers hanging over the city.There was a small click.Hanging for a second more then we started to plumet down!!!Gasping for air the more we fell down.all sounds were drained out by the thin screaming of my brother.Is this going to end.A another gust of wind stabbed my throat.I knew it was going to end soon but it felt like forever.It felt like ten tones of  stone were locking  me into place.air whipping my face.I could barely breath with the speed we were going.then it stopped leaving me froven to the spot!!!
