I was sheltering under the table. The deafening sound was breaking through the hollow walls. I shrilled for it to stop but the irritating sound just kept going, teasing me. My ears started to ache, my anger within was building up quicker than the speed of light. The sound was now echoing so loud that lights started smashing, windows shattered and the sapphire blue lakes formed giant waves. I don’t think I can last much longer. …And then the noise stopped… Lights stopped swinging, windows stopped shaking and waves died down to a gentle splash. Finally my ears feel alright!

Don’t pull yourselves down. Think of what’s ahead of you in the future, even though you have lost family friends you are ok and people are flooding in to help you. Our support is with you we will make you stronger and give you the fight to live on. If you get angry at yourself that’s just working you up and making you mad, but it’s not your fault. There will always be light under the darkest destruction. Find your way out and you will have confidence to carry on. Just follow your hearts instructions.

The night of terror, Jayden 100wc

…Remembering… the night of terror drains the blood from my body every time I think about it. I tense up just thinking of the ghastly night. Flashing images start churning up, blocking my mind. I struggle back to bed, horrified of dreaming the dream. The echoing of the wind whirls around haunting me deep inside.

I tuck right down into my bed burying myself from the open world outside. Storm clouds rolled through my stomach raining down on my soul. I know my parents will never return, and it drowns me down thinking of it, but I will live on.

Dragging me under, Jayden

Immense torrents of water drowned my face. It gulped me deeper as I lashed about in the murky river sinking deeper, death was approaching me. Dirty speckles of water bordered me in, enclosing on my body. I felt something beneath the surface towing me down under like the water required me. The trees on the river bank got slurped down to, I could almost hear them screaming like they were humans as well.

 The sky got gloomier and thoughts of surviving faded out of my mind. With one last eye watering screech it swallowed me all in one, leaving nothing.

…The violent storm was… bubbling overhead like a shaken fizzy drink.  Thunder sung like a deep soul singer frightening the earth. Lightning enclosed over the sky striking the ground. Panic flooded minds as cracks were formed in the lightning infected streets. A splash of rain poured down constructing a river flowing through the roads.

Suddenly the clouds swallowed up the storm like a wind tunnel gulping it in. Flushed away the drained city re-formed back to how it was. Roads healed there grazes revealing new blotches of concrete. Trees magically re-grew their leaves leaving no signs of the vast destruction!

100wc, Jayden, covered in darkness

…Slowly the sky got darker… Stalking clouds crept across, closing in on their prey. Panic flooded the minds of helpless citizens. A vast area off the moons light crumbled away joining the dark side. A swarm off black birds glided through the night.  Black trickling blood invaded the earth leaving nothing but one eerie colour, Black. Darker, darker, darker.

 

Suddenly the blackness faded away like a breaking jigsaw puzzle. Cracks trailed their way through the darkness making rivers of light. Torn up pieces of black shredded all over the sky. Panic was washed out of everyone leaving no fear. What had blanketed over our world.

… And then I saw a bright light… My eyes wept in pain as the light shattered my view. Aching pains trembled my eyes like it was my last sight. I hung on to a branch on the towering tree not knowing what was creeping at me, targeting me. “Crack” the branch flew away like a magnet was sucking it in. I screamed in agony. Was this the end…?

 

Then “whoosh” the light was flickered out of my sight, the eerie moonlight haunted me closer, closer to death. An invasion of thoughts flooded my mind. Then all I could see was black. What had attacked my terrified mind?

The Dream Cake, Jayden

As I pulled it out of the oven steam flickered past my ears like tiny voices in the dark. Warm, milky liquid dripped down the side like a river flowing off a cliff. Blends of flake were bubbling, melting into a pool.

A smell of heaven wafted up my irritated nose. I sliced my knife into it and picked a piece up. Crumbled softness wrapped my hand like it was huddling for warmth. The moist, luscious mixture bathed my hand.

A chunky piece shedded down my throat. Devine layers of gooey caramel shattered mouth. The flake teased my full mouth. By now different textures unfolded down my throat like it was digging, searching for the golden center. It was now just a big pile of decadent chocolate climbing all over each other. To die for Kit Kat built up a big pile like a house under construction. Ribbons of cream twirled around every layer like cement keeping it together.

’'Heave’’ went Henry as he kept tugging. His arms were threatening to drop off; His legs ached like never before. ‘’What is this deadly monster’’ he wondered. With one last back breaking struggle Henry wrestled the fish on to the boat. Fish or….

There wriggling in front of him was a gigantic, monstrous, slimy fish bigger than a table. Henry whimpered, his eyes drooped down off his head like he just saw the first alien. The next thing he knew he was in the hospital sleepily getting interviewed on his amazingly astonishing catch. What just happened to me he wondered.

''Bang'' went his phone on the whiteboard as he shouted in raged. His eyebrows dropped in fury. As he stomped out the door he sighed a long hesitate sigh. The Vege Car

The veggie car is a special type off car that is ran on vegetable oil. It is made by a totally normal family and you do not have to pay for fuel at all!!!! The family did a trip in it from Bluff at the bottom of the south island to Cape Reinga at the top of the north island!! What an achievement. Mr Mcdonald [the owner off the car] got the vegetable oil from takeaway shops in Palmerston north. Mr Macdonald built the veggie car 1 to protest against the wars in Iraq. And 2 to save money!!!!The pair reached Cape reinga in twelve days!!!!
